Cooking Tip: Reducing the amount of fat, sugar or salt In most recipes you can cut back on the amount of fat, sugar or sodium in the recipe. Generally, I have reduced the amount of each by 1/3 and the recipes have always tasted delicious. For example, if a recipe calls for 1 stick of butter, I use 2/3 stick. In addition, by reducing the amount of cheese or using a low-fat alternative, you can still make a great recipes with less fat and calories. Note: If making bread or something that requires yeast, be sure to use the recommended amount of salt. | |||||||||
